The Outmigration/Diversion Resource Specialist is responsible for assisting homeless individuals with placement into shelter, diversion, outmigration pathways, and support for those seeking asylum. This role requires compassion and understanding of the diverse needs of the homeless population, including individuals hesitant to enter shelter, those pursuing alternative housing solutions, and individuals seeking asylum or legal protection.
The Special Events and Community Engagement Manager owns the events and community engagement that bring the mission of Franciscan Outreach to life. This role leads the planning and execution of the signature gala and the full calendar of fundraising and community events, builds and oversees the volunteer program across Franciscan Outreach, and serves as a connection to the community.
The Development Operations Coordinator is the operational backbone of the Development Team. This role keeps gift processing, donor data, moves tracking, reporting, and communications production running accurately and on time, so the giving managers and the Senior Director can focus on relationships.
The Individual Giving Manager grows individual revenue for Franciscan Outreach and feeds the major gift pipeline. This role manages a portfolio of 75 to 100 individual donors and prospects, moving them through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, and owns the annual fund and the appeals that fund the mission.
The Housing Stability and Homeless Prevention Case Manager provides housing-focused case management to individuals and families at risk of eviction, homelessness, or housing loss. Using trauma-informed, strengths-based, and Housing First approaches, the Case Manager assists clients with housing stabilization, financial assistance, resource navigation, and connections to community services that support long-term stability.
The Kitchen Support Staff (Harrison) is responsible for planning and preparing healthy meals for all shelter guests; for the upkeep and maintenance of the shelter kitchen, appliances, and pantries; and for managing and utilizing donated and purchased food items utilized by shelter guests.
The Intake Specialist will provide support with intake and data by delivering housing-focused services for guests, including, but not limited to: facilitating a low-barrier intake and assessment process for new guests and assessing the guest for potential outmigration/diversion/specialized placement opportunities. The Intake Specialist will contribute towards the development of a data-informed and systems-level perspective for the organization.
The Resource Specialist (SPARC) is responsible for assisting homeless individuals with placement into shelters. This role requires compassion and understanding of the homeless population of those who may be struggling to decide to enter the shelter. The Resource Specialist will support them with resources and support services, provide guidance, and connect them to placement in a shelter. Must be flexible and have computer skills to navigate general use and learn guest databases. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Hours vary depending on the site location. SPARC serves as a critical hub for homeless individuals to access emergency shelters and supportive services in the City of Chicago.
The Case Manager provides case management services, support, and referrals to appropriate services as needed to FO guests. The Case Manager works respectfully with populations experiencing homelessness and understands how to engage people who have likely experienced trauma and challenging life circumstances. The Case Manager completes assessments and accesses community resources and support services; the case manager must be flexible and have computer skills to navigate general use and learn the client database.
The Maintenance Support Staff is responsible for providing general maintenance and janitorial services to all the Franciscan Outreach facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients and staff. This includes performing various maintenance tasks, stocking and receiving, transporting equipment and materials, and assisting with other facility-related activities.
