Celebrating 50 Years of Opening Doors
For 50 years, Franciscan Outreach has been a place where doors open. A door to a warm meal after a long day. A door to a safe bed. A door to a case manager who knows your name and believes in your future. Each year, thousands of our neighbors experiencing homelessness turn to Franciscan Outreach for shelter, meals, compassionate care, and the support to take their next step toward stability. In 2026, we celebrate five decades of service rooted in dignity, compassion, and hope.
A New Door Opens in Little Village
This anniversary year, we are doing more than looking back. Our new facility in Little Village is opening its doors, a physical expression of the care and dignity with which we treat every guest. With dedicated case manager offices, a computer lab, and spaces designed for connection and growth, it deepens our ability to address the root causes of homelessness.
The 2026 Golden Anniversary Gala
Join us on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Union League Club of Chicago for a cocktail reception, dinner, and program celebrating 50 years of impact and the opening of our new facility. The evening will honor Alderman Jason Ervin with the Fr. Phil Marquard Legacy of Service Award for his compassion and dedication to the communities we serve.
