The Site Support Supervisor (SPARC) will serve as a critical hub for homeless individuals to access emergency shelters and supportive services in the City of Chicago. This position will play a critical role in advancing our mission. You will oversee the daily operations of the site under the direction of the Site Manager ensuring the safety and security of program participants, fostering an environment conducive to community living, and upholding program policies. Your responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, volunteers, and visitors while providing leadership and support to site support staff.
Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Maintenance/Laundry Support Staff is responsible for providing general maintenance and laundry services to SPARC, ensuring a clean and safe environment for clients and staff. This includes performing various maintenance tasks, laundry duties, and assisting with other facility-related activities.

The Intake Specialist (SPARC) will provide support with intake and data by delivering housing-focused services for guests, including, but not limited to: facilitating a low-barrier intake and assessment process for new guests and assessing the guest for potential outmigration/diversion/specialized placement opportunities. The Intake Specialist will contribute towards the development of a data-informed and systems-level perspective for the organization.
The Annex Shelter Support Staff is considered an essential position and supports this mission by providing direct services, assuring the safety and security of program participants, helping them adapt to community living and program policies, and ensuring the effective operation of the shelter program. Hours vary depending on the shelter location.
The Rapid Rehousing Case Manager is responsible for engaging clients in the process of becoming housed, supporting them to remain housed, ensuring transition to a stable living situation at the program conclusion, and meeting any other case management needs. Sometime will be spent in the office, some completing the home/community visits that are an essential program component. This position requires flexibility and the computer skills to navigate general use as well as learn specific systems. Staff must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Outmigration/Diversion Resource Specialist (SPARC) is responsible for assisting homeless individuals with placement into shelter, diversion, outmigration pathways, and support for those seeking asylum. This role requires compassion and understanding of the diverse needs of the homeless population, including individuals hesitant to enter shelter, those pursuing alternative housing solutions, and individuals seeking asylum or legal protection.
The Kitchen Support Staff (Harrison) is responsible for planning and preparing healthy meals for all shelter guests; for the upkeep and maintenance of the shelter kitchen, appliances, and pantries; and for managing and utilizing donated and purchased food items utilized by shelter guests.
The Senior Staff Accountant provides fiscal and accounting support and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial information in accordance with GAAP. The Senior Accountant is responsible for general accounting functions, preparing and entering journal entries, preparing general ledger account reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end and year-end closing process. This position also prepares monthly grant invoices, and assists in financial analysis and ad hoc reporting requests on an as needed basis. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
