~ Privacy Policy ~

Franciscan Outreach Association values your privacy. When you make an online donation, ask to volunteer, or sign up for our newsletter, we collect whatever information you give to us, such as your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, and how you heard about us. We then add it to our internal database of persons who are interested in what we do. If you make a donation, we record the amount of the donation and what it was for. We may make notes about other information you tell us such as how you heard about us, whether you know any of our other donors, or why you care about the homeless.

We do not rent or share our list with anyone whatsoever. We use only one, trusted mailing company to send our mailings. Since we don't share the information outside of our agency, there is no need to tell us not to do so.

We use the information we collect to send you our newsletter, invitations to our dinners and events, and our appeal letters. We do not conduct any telephone marketing solicitations by outside agencies although we may call you personally if we have a reason to do so.

If you wish to contact us to review your personal information and/or request corrections, please do so. Call, email or write to Carin.

As a security measure, we don’t ever see your credit card information when you make an online donation. It is processed directly through Local Independent Charities’ Give Direct Program. See www.lic.org. Our website and email are also protected by an SSL (which stands for Secure Socket Layer) at the web hosting service to protect your information.

If you make a donation over the telephone and give us your credit card information, we shred the credit card information as soon as we process the donation so that it can’t fall into the wrong hands. Please excuse us for asking you for your credit card information each time you make a telephone donation, but we value your safety more than convenience.
